Washington, DCAs a Home Health Aide, you have the rewarding responsibility of providing services to the client in accordance with their care plan. In addition, HHAs may need to provide personal care, transportation, household care, and companionship to their clients. The role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills when planning and interacting with care recipients.

Required Credentials for HHAs include:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass OSH competency exam with a score of 80% or greater
- Must have HHA certification that meets state and OSH standards
- Must have evidence of DC Occupational Health Screening and Tuberculosis screening that meets CDC guidelines
- Must have current CPR certificate
- Must have a reliable form of transportation

You will need the following documentation before you can start working as a care professional at OSH:
- Must pass OSH comp exam with a score of 80% or greater
- Must have HHA cert that meets state and OSH standards

- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Two satisfactory and verifiable references (including name, phone number and details on working relationship)
To protect our employees and clients, we also complete a background check and drug screen (requirements vary by state; contact your local office to see if this applies in your area).

You will be paid for on-boarding at OSH. On-boarding is a quick process, where cases are often on-boarded within 24 hours
